Updating.........

Ok, so it's been a while since I've blogged but I'm blaming it on Facebook. It's very addicting and more fun. Well, I'm here so I might as well update real quick. First off, our Christmas was a good one spent with our wonderful families. I will post pics sometime. The new year didnt start off too great though. With the economy so bad Ryan got cut off from Chaffee and had to go work in Springfield for 2 weeks. We had the stresses of not knowing how long it was going to be for and finding him a cheap but safe place to stay. Thank the good Lord that it only lasted 2 weeks but he could have to go back anytime though. We're just praying that the economy gets better and fast because him leaving like that just sucked and was very hard on all of us. As soon as he got back things were so much better. We did go out there for a weekend and Springfield is a pretty nice place. We thought about even moving out there. I think for now that's pretty much not a thing anymore but who knows what the future holds. As most of you know we had another ice storm this year but thank the good Lord again that it wasnt as bad as last year for us here in Jackson but it was real bad for the places just south of us and all of our family in KY. My mom lost power for 2 weeks! Thankfully they had a generator. We couldnt get ahold of anyone in KY for a couple of those first days of the storm and were as you can imagine completly worried. Everyone was okay though so thats good. We got our taxes done and out of the way a couple of weeks ago and got back a hefty refund so we bought a new camera and it's pretty awesome. My 29th birthday was the 12th and I have to say that it was a pretty good one. I mean you couldve smashed both my feet with a sledge hammer and it still wouldve been the best April birthday in a long time. NO, IM JUST KIDDING....HAHA....ITS A BUFFY THING! We took the boys to my moms while Ryan and I went out to Red Lobster and did some shopping. I wanted to see the movie He's Just Not That Into You but we didnt have time so we saw it the weekend after my bday. That's pretty much all I have right now but I will try to blog more often. Oh yeah, we're going train chasing tomorrow. Dont ask. lol

TWILIGHT REVIEW

Let's just say I would go see it again in a heartbeat! LOVED IT!!! It's not like what you would think! Yes, it's a vampire movie but it's more of a love story. An awesome love story. I never even saw any fangs. It had awesome scenery! There were vampires and vampire "issues" but no gore or anything like that. I recommend going to see it now while it's on at the theater!

TWILIGHT

Thanks to our good friend Susie, Ryan and I will be going to see the movie Twilight tonight. I've been dying to see it and I will have to post my review about it when we get back home later. As for our Thanksgiving there are some pictures over to the side to look at and I will post more pics and info of our holiday either tonight or tomorrow. I'm such a slowpoke blogger!

Randomness

Here's a new little post for all my readers....yeah right. I think I have like 3 people who take the time to come here at all. And to you guys...thank you for showing an interest! I feel special. ha ha





This was taken Halloween morning. I was doing the dishes and Cam had gotten stuck in this diaper box in the living room. All of a sudden I heard him yelling momma momma momma, over and over. I thought, what the heck has he done now? I turn the corner and find this. It was great....so funny I had to grab the camera. When I told him to smile, this is what I got! How cute is that???

Well, tonight Ryan parents surprised us with a visit. Yea! We love visitors! We meet them at Target so they could get Alex some much needed school clothes and then we all went to Casa for supper. They came back to the house with us to visit alittle while longer. After they left we ran to Walmart for a few things and then back over to Target before they closed. When we were there earlier we noticed they had a couple of Wii's. And yes, that's what we went back for. Ryan and I decided not too long ago that we wanted one and we were definitely going to have one under the tree this year as our big family gift from Santa. I'm so glad that we went ahead and got one even though that's alot of money to dish out all at once. We knew now was the time because the closer it gets to Christmas the harder they're going to be to get. Oh, don't tell the kids, they don't know! It's a surprise!

Yes, I am somewhat a cynical person! I thought and thought and thought about this but I have decided that I believe they are all liars and thieves! All these candidates want is their place in the history books, they don't care about America or her people! So I'm exercising my right NOT to vote! And I know that drives some people nuts and I think that's hilarious!

OUR FIRST EVER HALLOWEEN PARTY!!!

On Saturday October the 18th we had our first ever Halloween party and it was a blast! There was a good turn out and all of Alex's friends got to come as did most of the family. I am glad it's over though. It was stressful, as planning and executing a bash usually is. Not to mention the clean up. But...we might just make it a tradition. We will just have to see. I believe the more parties you throw the better you get at it.

We had lots of tasty food, tons of crafts, awesome decorations, and Ryan rigged up a great little haunted house for the kids to play in. We also had games with awesome prizes, a pinata to bust, and the kids got a terrific little goody bag to take home. I am awesome! Sorry I just have to brag on myself! I do have to throw some credit over to my friend Heather. Their annual bash last year is where I got a lot of my ideas at. Thanks H. You throw a mean Halloween party also!

And I want to say thank you to everyone who let us borrow tables, chairs, etc... I couldn't have done it without you guys!

AUGUST RUSH

If you haven't seen this movie you really need to! OMG! I just got done watching it and it was awesome! I still have tears running down! It really makes you appreciate all you have, especially your kids!!! I've been in a depressed slump lately and this movie put things in perspective for me a little! I needed that!

A little info of our past couple of weeks!

Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't posted in awhile but I've been busy and sick...but not at the same time. I'm such a big baby when I get sick but I like to be taken care of. I felt awful too. I mean I was miserable. That was this past weekend and before that and since then I've been occupied with dealing with our first halloween party details. I'm actually to the point now that I want it to come and go quickly. I guess I'm burnt out or something or maybe it's the money. You can't do anything especially have a party without a good chuck of change. I'm just tired of spending. The problem with me and my personality is that I want too much and I aim to please. I just want everyone to be happy and have a great time. I'm trying not to fret too much about the little stuff and even the big stuff when it comes to this party. I keep telling myself it's all going to be ok if we don't have this or that and so forth.

Now on to Cam-bam. He is now our 2 yr old little boy! Yay! He turned 2 last Thursday the 9th. We had just a little celebration. I invited the Lee's over to eat supper and have cake with us. I have pics but I just don't feel like taking the time to post them right now. I have sooo many pictures I want to post too. Oh, his big party is this Saturday right before the Halloween party. Well I guess the Halloween bash is a part of it too. The fam's coming over early for him to open gifts. We can't wait to see everyone!

JUST A LITTLE SIDE NOTE!

So I just got done watching "I Am Legend". I've been wanting to see it since it came out at the theatres and tonight I was flipping thur the movie channels before bed and there it was! Yea! It was good and it made me cry too. I absolutely LOVE Will Smith!!! One of my biggest dreams is to act in a movie with him. Yes, I dream of being a big time actress. Who doesn't?!

Alex got his school pictures Friday and they're great! They are his best so far! He is actually smiling! Our fam is going to looovve them!

I am having a blast planning our first Halloween party! Really, I should be a party planner! I'm so good at it! I'm so psyched, I can't wait! I am totally going to dress up this year! I found this really cool costume, but I can't decide between that and something else I have in mind. Alex and I went to the party stores today to look around plus he wanted to get another costume. Yes, another one! He had to have a clone trooper costume so I told him we could take back his Indy one but he didn't want to do that. Then I told him if he wanted the Star Wars one he would have to pay for it out of his own money. And he never spends his money so he had plenty! I kind of feel bad about it! Should I? I don't know.

Now for Cam...He will be turning 2 on Thursday! Yea! The other day we had got some Little Ceasars cheesey bread and breadstix. I love to dip mine in the pizza sauce and Cam started doin that. He usually always just likes to put stuff in any kind of dip and just leave it there like with french fries he just likes to sit them in the ketchup and leave them there. He never eats it after that but this time was different. I mean he won't even try any kind of dipping stuff so I was very surprised when he started dunking his breadstix in my pizza sauce and eating it like he couldn't get enough of it. Now he wasn't eating the breadstix just sucking off the sauce! It was cute! Just wanted to post this to remember it. If you don't journal the little stuff you forget it.

Yea for me!

Yes, I have done it! Cam is no longer nursing! It's been about a week and things are going pretty good. He still throws a fit at times but mostly he's taking it well. I even was able to rock him to sleep last night and also tonight without him trying to bully me into givin' it up. :-) Ryan has been a big help too. He keeps telling me to not give in and I haven't. One of the main reasons I haven't is because I know it would hurt like hell when he would latch on, being it's been a week since he's nursed. I kept telling myself, him, and everyone else that when he turned 2 that was it. No more boobie! I'm proud of myself too because we still have 2 more weeks til his birthday. Man, I can't believe Cam's going to be 2! He is such a sweet, funny, beautiful baby! He is always making us laugh! He just started making this oh face and his eyes just get so big! It is sooo adorable! I need to get a picture of it, as soon as I do I'll have to post it.

On another note....We had Alex's parent/teacher conference tonight so we got to meet his new teacher. We were pretty impressed with her. She seems really nice and caring so we are happy about that. We also talked with his speech teacher and she will be releasing him from speech tomorrow so that's cool. She told us that he isn't having any problems anymore with his sounds. They say they're supposed to grow out of that around his age or something like that.

We had a little problem with Alex last Friday not wanting to go to school but we believe he just didn't feel that great and that he was really sleepy. We usually get him in bed around 10 or a little after so we started a new 9 o clock bedtime on Sunday and have been able able to stick to it and I think that helps. He doesn't mind it either. Also Cam seems to be sleeping a little better than usual. Now that I say that he won't! But last night he slept 10 hours which is not normal for him. Well, I guess that's all I have to report on right now so I'm going to bed. See ya later.

I'M IN SHOCK!!!

My husband is sooo cool sometimes! My friend Susie and I went out to a couple of stores tonight to get out of the house and when I got back home the kitchen was clean and I mean CLEAN, laundry was going, and the rugrats had had their baths already! WOW! I'm so impressed! Him doing all that took a huge load of work off of me and I'm sooo thankful! Thank you baby! I love you! You're the man!

There's a blog I follow and she had posted on her blog today about how her husband did all that and more when she had gone out to have a girls night and I told Ryan about it. I said out loud, "Do they have any more of those (her husband) and where can I get one." Maybe that motivated him to do this for me tonight.

ALEX'S HALLOWEEN COSTUME

Not too much to say about this. And not too much of a surprise. Of course he's already tried it on. It's so cute on him! We love our little guy!

We are still trying to find something cute for Cam. No luck though.
