Mother Nature's Getting Her Vengeance On!!!!!!!!

Or something! It's been crazy. One week there's a bunch of snow, the next there's damaging winds, hail, and tornados with 70 degree weather in February, and last but not least a crippling ice storm. This all in just like 2-3 weeks. I really hope she's not planning on throwing anything else our way. I know there's supposed to be some more winter weather stuff this weekend and hopefully it's nothing like the last couple of days.
Alex got out of school Monday around 10:30 because it was icing pretty good outside. Then our power started going off and on for awhile that night and around 11 pm is when it went out for good until Tuesday night. So we didn't have power for almost 24 hours. Ryan got called to go to work right before the power went out for good and I was so worried about him being on the roads. Well, he made it to work okay but after they got on the train and outside of Cape is when his adventure started. I'll tell you all about that alittle later. In the meantime, I was trying to get the boys to bed Monday night after the power went out but Cam just would not go to sleep. I think it was because of the silence. I know that's what I hate about the electricity going out. The mind numbing silence. That drives me nuts. Anyway, it was cold but not too too bad. We just bundled up real good and Alex wanted us to sleep downstairs, so we did. I don't know why I didn't put us upstairs because heat rises. Duh! We got up Tuesday morning around 8 or so and still no power. It was cold and I was not happy. I didn't know how bad it was until I looked outside. Thank goodness we don't have any trees around us. It looked like a tornado had gone thur here. I called my mom and she drove all the way up here to get me and the boys. I love my mommy. She wanted to travel the roads before I got out on them with the kids. She drove an hour and a half for us. So I followed her back to Kentucky where it was nothing like here. We got hit hard. I've never seen anything like this before. We stayed with my parents Tuesday night and now I'm back home. The kids stayed there just in case the power goes out again or something. They say when all this ice melts it could be bad too because that can make the tree and tree limbs fall too.
Well, yesterday was my birthday and it wasn't great but it wasn't the worst either. I'm just glad we have power now and we are all okay. I'll tell you Ryans story tomorrow, for now I'm sleepy.
