Our concert experience!

Last night was, to say the least, an experience. We had alot of fun even though we were knocked into a couple of times by a "mosh pit", had water and possibly beer indirectly splashed on us, had barely enough room to breathe, and people lighting up and smoking all kinds of things right next to us. It was kinda crazy. But still a great experience. It was our first concert together and our second one to date. It lasted longer than we had expected. After we picked up the boys from Susie and Brents just right up the road, we were home at like 11:40 or so. Susie informed us they had called off school yet again so we were glad to hear that with us getting home so late. Thanks again Susie for watching the boys and next week you and I can go to lunch, my treat.
OMG, I never thought I would be so glad to go outside in the cold weather. It was very smokey and hot in there. The smoke didn't really bother me due to me being a former smoker but I was loving that fresh air outside. There were a couple of almost fights real close to us but friends of the idiots calmed em down. We finally moved to the other side of the gym because it looked like that was the sane people side. You know, the ones who didn't go there to be dumb but to enjoy the show. People were doing that thing where the crowd carries them in the air and I'm just thinking somebody's going to get hurt. Then I thought, yep, I'm old. At first it did look like we were the oldest ones there then we saw older people so we didn't feel so out of place. Of course it was very loud also. When it was over and for awhile after it sounded like everything was muffled and we were exhausted. Our knees, our back, everything hurt. Ryan said when we got home, "I hate getting old." I just laughed. I'm the same way. I just turned 28 and I told all my family I refuse to turn 30. I'm not doing it. The big 30 can kiss my you know what!
Back to the concert. It was amazing. We were only like 40 ft from the stage and we could see really good unless a really tall person wiggled there way in front of us which did happen a couple of times. Only some of our pictures turned out. Our camera is a POS. Ryan also recorded some videos on the digital cam but the sound is not good at all because the music was so loud. That's another thing it was so loud my whole body was vibrating expecially my chest. It's like you can feel your organs jumping. That was cool. Breaking Benjamin was our favorite. The lead singer was great with the crowd. Three Days Grace had fire shooting up in the air on stage. We could feel the heat on our faces. Once again (being a grown up aka OLD) I thought "well, now that's just dangerous", and turns out Ryan was thinking the same thing ecpecially being a former firefighter. We have video and I will put some on here but you'll have to excuse the sound because it sucks. Ryan bought a TDG shirt to commerate the evening. All in all we had a blast! Thanks for checking in!
