Week of 3/17

Well, first off the boys both woke up Monday morning with fevers so Alex stayed home with Cam and I. Ryan got sick first last Thursday and I've felt crappy since this past weekend. The boys also were somewhat sick this past weekend too. I don't know with what but it consist of fever, sinus stuffiness, and a dry sore throat but Ryan had some queasiness. Another reason I haven't posted much is because Ryan has been working a lot and he takes the laptop which I have gotten really fond of. I like it better than our stationary computer.

Oh yeah, this Wednesday morning Cam woke up around 6:15 am and I had fallen asleep on the couch the night before so I just went up and got him and came back down to turn the news on to make sure Jackson schools were still out and just a couple of minutes into watching the news they said a coal train had derailed over in Illinois with the conductor (which is what Ryan is right now and he was supposed to be coming home from St. Louis today) was in critical condition and OMG my heart stopped. I know that's the UP tracks, not BNSF but I also knew that BNSF travels on the UP tracks at times but not really where or what towns they go thur so I was freaking out. I immediately dialed Ryan and when he answered I just kept saying "Oh thank God" over and over again and I finally heard him say "Honey. Hello. Hello." I could tell that I woke him up and I told him about the train derailment. Another reason I was so freaked out was because I knew that the tracks here were probably under water and I thought maybe they were taking a train somewhere else or something, like that's why they could be on the UP tracks. Anyway, I'm blessed to say that it wasn't Ryan but I do ask if you'd pray for the guys that were hurt and their families. I can't imagine what they are going thur but I do know what's it's like to have a railroad husband, worrying every time he goes to work and the fear of his train derailing. He's always told me that if he ever gets hurt or killed (God forbid) on the train to sue the heck out of them. I have specific instructions to not talk to their lawyers unless I have his union official guy there.

Ok. The school thing. Alex didn't go to school Wednesday because of all the rain. I can't believe they called off school for that. Plus no soccer practice Thursday night with no games this weekend because of Easter so if we can get the boys over to Kentucky to stay with the grandparents that'll be great. I think I need a break and I need to do some more cleaning and maybe finally get to the gym to join up. I'd like to wear a bathing suit this summer without being totally insecure. Ryan is home now and will be home for several days due to the tracks being underwater. So goody! If I'd get my butt in bed (it's almost 2 am) I might be able to get a decent nights rest.

~~~Kevin....What time are we having Easter Saturday? Alex's Webkins guy is Koopa. Do you need that or his username? And how many kids are we going to have this year so I know what to get for the egg hunt? Are there any plans on the egg hunt like are we doing it like we always do it? Everybody brings some eggs.
Hey,
Glad to hear Ryan is safe and sound! Sorry to hear everyone is under the weather.
I think we are going to eat around 3:00 and do the egg hunt after. I think it will just be 5 kids; yours, ours, and Jacob. We have not talked with Cindy, but I guess we will do the same as last year everybody bring some eggs.
Yeah, we need Alex's username to add him to Skylar's friend list.
We are going to spend the night Saturday and go to church with Mom.
See ya guys Sat
love ya
