SPENDING TIME WITH MY BIG GUY!

With Alex's 8th birthday fast approaching it's been on my mind lately how fast he is growing up and it saddens me. So, I figured I needed to spend some time with him before he doesn't want to be mommy's boy anymore. I know that day will come sooner rather than later. We took Cam over to my mother-in-law's Tuesday so Alex could have a couple of days of mommy to himself because little butt takes so much of my attention. We started off our time by cleaning up him and Cam's room which doesn't sound all that fun but it was actually a blast! We got rid of tons of stuff! It's crazy how much these boys accumulate stuff! There were so many little pieces that I had no idea what they went to but Alex knew what they all went to. It was amazing and I asked how he knew all of that and he responded by saying, "I don't know mommy. There's just all this stuff rattling up there (pointing to his head/brain)!" It was hilarious! He absolutely cracks me up!

Then yesterday we wanted to go swimming but it ended up raining most of the day so we just cleaned up some more along with lots of playing. We also went to see the movie Walle which was really cute. We both enjoyed that.

Today we got to go swimming and saw a couple of people we knew which is weird considering we don't know that many people. And tonight we went to see the movie Get Smart with Susie and Cole. That was what Alex wanted to see. I had seen that already with Ryan when it first came out. I want to see Hancock but it's Alex's time so he got to pick. He enjoyed the movie. It's a very good movie. Very funny. We then all went to Target for some late night shopping because we love that store. Even before Susie said, "let's go to Target." I knew she was going to say that.

Tomorrow we will be going to Paducah to pick up little butt and Alex will be staying with balzy and policedad. It's a trade off. : ) We both are missing that baby so much too.

Alex and I have had a really good time together! I love my big guy so much and he'll always be my baby!
